Chief of Human Rights Affairs Addresses Right to Health at OIC Session.

Jeddah: Ambassador Dr. Arwa Hassan Al Sayed, Chief of Human Rights Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the 24th regular session of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held under the theme "The Right to Health: From the Islamic and Human Rights Perspectives". According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Arwa Hassan Al Sayed delivered a speech during the session, where she highlighted examples of promoting the right to health within Islamic law and its alignment with the foundations set by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. Dr. Al Sayed stressed the importance of achieving the right to health through unified efforts and enhanced cooperation between the OIC and international organisations, including the United Nations. Her participation underscored the significance of collaborative work in addressing health rights from both Islamic and broader human rig hts perspectives.
