Chief of Americas Affairs Meets US Congress Delegation to Discuss Bilateral Agreements

Manama: Salman Hasan Al Jalahma, Chief of the Americas Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received a delegation of staff members from the United States Congress and Senate. Al Jalahma praised the United States' role in the region and emphasized the importance of bilateral agreements that enhance the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the US, such as the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA). He discussed ways to further cooperation in various fields for the mutual benefit of both nations, promoting regional and global peace and prosperity.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the US delegation acknowledged Bahrain's leadership role in the region and its efforts to promote regional dialogue and understanding. They reaffirmed the United States' commitment to expanding the strategic partnership with the Kingdom across multiple areas.

The discussions also included the latest developments on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
