Manama: Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futais Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, inaugurated the newly renovated Mulla Muhammad Mosque in Manama Souq. The renovation and maintenance of the mosque were funded by the Ahmed bin Hasan Ibrahim family. The inauguration event saw the attendance of council members, the Director of the Administration, and several other officials. According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed emphasized the importance of maintaining places of worship as part of the comprehensive development process spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. This initiative is further supported by the government under His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Dr. Shaikh Rashid praised the Ahmed bin Hasan Ibrahim family for their significant contributions, acknowledging their efforts as exemplary community partnership in preserving historic mosques. The Mulla Muhammad Mosque, in particular, stands as a historic landmark in Manama Souq, renovated with traditional Bahraini architectural elements to maintain its heritage. Dr. Al Hajri also reiterated the council's dedication to the development of places of worship. He highlighted the council's ongoing commitment to implementing various projects within a strategic framework aimed at constructing, maintaining, and restoring these sacred sites.
