Chair of Global Green Growth Institute Engages with Bahraini Ambassador on Environmental Cooperation

Seoul: Ban Ki-moon, Chair of the Council of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and former UN Secretary-General, met with Saud Hassan Ali Al Nusuf, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to South Korea, at the Ban Ki-moon Foundation in Seoul.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Ban Ki-moon highlighted the significance of joint efforts and regional and international cooperation in addressing environmental challenges and supporting sustainable development initiatives. He stressed that these collaborative actions are crucial for ensuring a better future.

Ambassador Al Nusuf praised GGGI's role in aiding member countries to develop and implement effective environmental policies. He reiterated Bahrain's commitment to enhancing global efforts in combating climate change and advancing sustainable development goals.

The meeting delved into shared interests, particularly focusing on sustainable development, the environment, and international cooperation. Both parties explored ways to strengthen ties between the Kingdom and GGGI, and discussed the exchange of experiences related to green policy and green transition.
