CBB’s Long Term Ijara Murabaha Sukuk Issue Oversubscribed by 127%

Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the first issue of its Long Term Ijara Murabaha Sukuk has experienced an oversubscription rate of 127%.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the issuance size is set at 250 million Bahraini Dinars, with a maturity period of five years. The Sukuk will commence on July 30 and mature on July 30, 2030, offering an expected profit rate of 6.00% per annum.

The Ijara Murabaha Sukuk are issued by the CBB under the Domestic Sukuk Programme, representing the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This issuance marks the first in the series of long-term Ijara Murabaha Sukuk, identified as Issue No. 1 (ISIN BH000W2689D2).
