Manama: This week's BD 70 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 144%. The bills, which have a maturity of 91 days, are issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The issue date of the bills is July 16, and the maturity date is October 15.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the weighted average rate of interest on the current issue is 5.39%, compared to 5.42% for the previous issue on July 2. The approximate average price for the issue was 98.656%, with the lowest accepted price being 98.641%. This issuance is designated as issue No.2077 (ISIN BH0002A1T4A3) of Government Treasury Bills. With this new issuance, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills stands at BD 2.110 billion.
