CBB Sukuk Al Salam Securities Oversubscribed by 135%

Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the latest monthly issue of Sukuk Al-Salam Islamic securities has experienced an oversubscription rate of 135%. The total subscription received amounted to BD 67.603 million, surpassing the targeted BD 50 million for this issuance. This particular issuance has a maturity period of 91 days.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the expected return on the current issue stands at 5.39%, a slight decrease from the 5.42% return of the previous issue dated July 9. The new issue commenced on August 13 and is set to mature on November 12. The Sukuk Al-Salam securities are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This marks issue No.292 (BH000772X055) in the ongoing series of short-term Sukuk Al-Salam securities. The continued oversubscription demonstrates strong market demand and confidence in these financial instruments.
