CBB Ijara Murabaha Sukuk Subscription Exceeds Target by 157%

Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the latest monthly issue of its short-term Islamic Ijara Murabaha Sukuk has been oversubscribed by 157%. The subscription reached BD 78.610 million for the BD 50 million issue, indicating strong investor interest.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Sukuk has a maturity period of 182 days, with an expected return of 5.00%. This is slightly lower than the 5.01% return offered by the previous issue dated December 4. The issue commences on January 1, 2026, and will mature on July 2, 2026.

The Ijara Murabaha Sukuk are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This particular issue is marked as 6IM/5 (BH0003ZGX107) in the series of short-term Ijara Murabaha Sukuk.
