Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that its latest monthly issue of the short-term Islamic Ijara Murabaha Sukuk was oversubscribed by 191%. The total subscriptions received amounted to BD 95.300 million, significantly surpassing the initial BD 50 million offering. This Sukuk carries a maturity period of 182 days.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the expected return on this issue, which commenced on October 2 and will mature on April 2, 2026, stands at 5.20%. This rate is consistent with the previous issue dated September 4. The Ijara Murabaha Sukuk are released by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This particular release is identified as issue 6IM/2 (BH0004762EN2) within the series of short-term Ijara Murabaha Sukuk.
