Manama: The Capital Governorate Police Directorate has become the first organisation in Bahrain to achieve the Diamond Level Accreditation as a Health Promoting Workplace. This milestone recognises compliance with the criteria of a project launched by the Ministry of Health to enhance and promote workplace health and safety. According to Bahrain News Agency, the achievement was celebrated during a ceremony attended by Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate. Dr. Lulwa Showaiter, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, presented the accreditation to Brigadier Isa Al Qattan, Director General of the Capital Governorate Police Directorate. Brigadier Al Qattan commended the support of the Minister of Interior for initiatives aimed at promoting staff welfare and improving workplace health. He emphasised that this achievement reflects the directorate's commitment to fostering a safe and healthy working environment through the adoption of best practices and the encouragement of healthy lifestyles among employees. The Diamond Level accreditation aligns with Bahrain's vision to elevate public health standards and create safer, more productive workplaces.
