Manama: As part of Bahrain's preparations to celebrate its National Day and the anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's accession, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, announced the Governorate's participation in and support for 15 national, social, sports, artistic, and entertainment events in collaboration with the Capital Municipality during December. According to Bahrain News Agency, the events aim to highlight Bahrain's national achievements across various sectors and promote social cohesion and unity. The Governorate's calendar includes support for government and private institutions' efforts to enhance community engagement and national pride. Highlighted events include the National Day celebration at Water Garden City on December 15, featuring fireworks, children's activities, traditional performances, a market for entrepreneurs, and competitions with prizes. Other events supported by the Capital Governorate include the 11th Bahrain Bike W eek Festival, celebrations at Ahlia University, the "Watan Al Ezz" festival by Applied Science University, a poetry evening with the Folk Poetry Society, the "Lammat Farah" productive families exhibition by Tubli Charity Organisation, celebrations by Qadisiyah Youth Empowerment Centre and Bahrain association for parents and friends of the disabled, an art exhibition at the Alumni Club, and a marathon organised with the Bahraini Catalysts Disabilities Association.
