Manama: The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has unveiled an extensive calendar for Celebrate Bahrain 2025, a nationwide festival set to launch on December 1st under the theme "Live Every Moment." The festival will highlight Bahrain's cultural heritage, world-class entertainment, and a variety of experiences for visitors worldwide.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the BTEA, emphasized that Celebrate Bahrain is a pivotal part of the Kingdom's Tourism Strategy 2022-2026. The initiative aims to enhance tourism offerings by merging culture, entertainment, and shopping, contributing significantly to economic growth and diversification.
Sara Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of BTEA, noted that this year's festival includes an expanded calendar covering all of Bahrain's governorates and major tourist spots. Developed with support from both public and private sector partners, the program is designed to provide a seamless experience for both visitors and residents. Final preparations are in progress to deliver exceptional events that will strengthen Bahrain's reputation as the GCC's premier family destination.
The festivities will begin with the Shopping Festival on November 28, organized in collaboration with major malls and shopping centers across Bahrain. The event promises an array of discounts, exclusive promotions, and exciting prize draws, fostering support for local retail and homegrown businesses.
The festival boasts an array of activities such as the Mara'ee Festival and Farmers' Market, organized by the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, to showcase local agricultural products and traditions. The Heritage Village Festival, organized by the Ministry of Information, will offer an immersive experience of traditional Bahraini life. The Wen w Bkm Festival aims to provide interactive experiences for all ages, while the National Day Festival at Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club will blend sports with family entertainment.
Music enthusiasts can look forward to concerts at Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre featuring acclaimed local and Arab artists, as well as the Bahrain Jazz Fest. The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities will host the Muharraq Nights Festival, and the Manama Festival will present an array of cultural events. Headline acts include Saudi artist Mohammed Abdo, the theatrical show King of the Stage, and Bahraini Night, which will celebrate local musical talent.
Elite equestrian competitions are scheduled at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club throughout the festival, attracting numerous participants and spectators. The celebrations will culminate with synchronized fireworks and drone shows at seven locations: Bahrain Fort, Water Garden City, The Avenues, Bahrain Bay Beach, Bahrain National Museum, Al Sayah, and Marassi Bahrain.
