Manama: Sarah Ahmed Buheji, CEO of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), underscored that Bahraini Women's Day is a significant national occasion to highlight women's achievements across various sectors. According to Bahrain News Agency, she noted that these accomplishments reflect the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government's efforts, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to strengthen women's role as active partners in nation-building. Buheji commended the initiatives and projects of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King, for advancing women's progress and promoting equal opportunities. She emphasized BTEA's commitment to empowering Bahraini women, supporting their excellence across tourism sectors, and enabling them to actively design and implement initiatives for sustainable tourism. She highlig hted BTEA's dedication to enhancing women's roles in tourism, aligning with Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
