Brazil leads judo competition with three gold medals at ISF Gymnasiade


Brazil topped the medal count in judo at the International School Sport Federation (ISF) Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024, winning three gold medals across various weight categories at Hall C, Isa Sports City.

In the -55 kg division, Hayk Darbinyan of Armenia won gold, while Morocco’s Anis Al Jiyawi earned silver.

In the -60 kg category, Kazakhstan’s Altynbek konysbay took gold, with Armenia’s Lyova Srapyan securing silver.

In the -66 kg class, Brazil’s Joao Lucas Lira clinched gold, followed by Ukraine’s Ilya Nazarenko with silver.

Among the women, Taiwan’s Gao Yun Rui won gold in the -40 kg category, with Brazil’s Rarina Cassia da Costa taking silver.

In the -44 kg category, Brazil’s Juliana Yamasaki earned gold, while China’s Mingfen Xie took silver.

In the -48 kg division, Brazil’s Sarah Maurer Mendes won gold, and Taiwan’s Tzu Ying Yang secured silver.
