BNA stand a hit at GMC 2022 launch edition in Abu Dhabi

Bahrain News Agency (BNA) has concluded its participation in the Global Media Congress (GMC) 2022 on a high note of satisfaction with the outcome and eager anticipation for the future.

GMC 2022 was organized by Emirates News Agency (WAM), and attended by more than 1,200 participants, specialists and global influencers, and included more than 30 panel discussions and workshops, in which more than 162 international speakers participated.

The participation, led by BNA Director General Abdullah Khalil Buhejji, was within the Ministry of Information strategy to exchange experiences with regional and international media institutions, gain insights into the latest advances, keep abreast of technological development in the media and AI and learn about the latest ways to address challenges.

BNA set up a stand, with the support of the organisers, on the premises of the Congress and the agency representatives reported a high turnout by visitors, mainly media figures, who were interested in cooperating with BNA for media coverage, taking into consideration the Kingdom’s pioneering role in media.

BNA possesses great experience in the media as it was the first news agency in the Gulf region, and was called Gulf News Agency from 1978 to 2003.

The representatives briefed the visitors on the agency’s activities and commitments about writing, editing and translating reports, and producing content both in Bahrain and abroad.

The stand also highlighted the important role of the social media team in ensuring the spread of right information from reliable sources – an asset that has reinforced the credibility of the news agency, especially during challenging times such as the COVID pandemic.
