Bahrain News Agency (BNA) Director-General Abdulla Khalil Buhejji met UAE News Agency (WAM) Director General Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, and other executive directors, on the sidelines of the 2022 Government Communication Forum, which was held at the Expo Centre in Sharjah, under the patronage of the UAE Supreme Council Member, Sharjah Ruler HH Shaikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi.
The two sides discussed cooperation between Bahrain News Agency (BNA) and UAE News Agency (WAM), especialy news exchange, training and development opportunities.
They discussed journalistic and technical exchanges, in a way that enhances joint media orientations and highlights the successes achieved by the two brotherly countries in various fields, and in a manner that reflects the advanced level of the depth and development of bilateral relations at all levels.
During the meeting, BNA Director General praised the success of the International Government Communication Forum 2022 in presenting visions on the importance of effective government communication in facing changes, and transforming challenges into opportunities.
The International Forum for Government Communication is one of the initiatives organized by the Sharjah Government Media Office on an annual basis. Its first session was launched in 2012.
The forum is the largest gathering in the region to discuss the best international practices in government communication. The event will witness a meeting of elite Gulf, Arab and international media professionals and government thought leaders in the United Arab Emirates.
The forum, which is held annually, seeks to bring the best international practices in the communication sector and build a new system in government communication.
