BNA Director General Engages in KUNA Dialogue Seminar

Kuwait city: Abdullah Khalil Buhejji, Director General of Bahrain News Agency (BNA), participated in the second session of the KUNA Dialogue seminar organised by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) at the Centre for Government Communication in Kuwait. This was part of the Kuwait Capital of Arab Culture 2025 events, attended by prominent Arab media figures.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the session highlighted current digital transformations and their impact on the media scene, including challenges facing journalism and print media in the fast-paced technological era. During the seminar, Buhejji described BNA's experience in digital transformation and adoption of new media tools, emphasising the importance of developing media competencies and enhancing professional content to keep pace with rapid changes in the media industry.

The session also included contributions from Dr. Fareed Ayar, Secretary-General of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA); Nabil Ghishan, Chairman of the Jordan News Agency (PETRA); and Ramadan Al Rawashdeh, a political writer and novelist from Jordan. The discussion focused on how media institutions can adapt to digital changes and the need for cooperation among Arab news agencies to address common challenges in the digital media space.

Participants underlined the necessity of maintaining professional media messaging amid technical and informational challenges and boosting collaboration between Arab news agencies to meet shared challenges in the digital media environment.
