Manama: The Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) concluded the third edition of its national practical training programme for university students, "Itqan", as part of its ongoing efforts to promote political awareness, strengthen national responsibility among youth, and link academic outcomes with practical experience and labour market requirements.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the programme concluded with the "Itqan for National Leadership" forum, held via video conference, which addressed several key themes, including practical training, professional skills, and media simulation scenarios, with the participation of a number of speakers involved in the programme.
The programme targeted university students through a comprehensive package of training and applied activities designed to prepare participants for the post-graduation phase, develop leadership skills, and enhance capabilities in analysis, media, and communication, in addition to raising awareness of constitutional, legal, and regulatory frameworks in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Its modules focused on political and parliamentary training, enhancing constitutional and legal knowledge, and building analytical and media skills, alongside developing youth leadership through modern training methods, including case studies, group work, simulations, and applied projects, as well as field visits that enabled participants to engage directly with different work environments.
The programme also included a series of activities covering various topics, including public policy analysis, Isa Al Kabeer and national impact, communication and presentation skills, data analysis tools, and the use of artificial intelligence in content creation, enhancing students' readiness for modern labour market demands.
The institute affirmed that the programme achieved several qualitative outcomes, most notably enhancing awareness of Bahrain's comprehensive development process, reinforcing the concepts of citizenship and national identity, and enabling participants to link academic knowledge with practical application, as well as acquire professional conduct and workplace etiquette skills.
The institute commended the efforts of trainers and lecturers in delivering the programme and their contribution to enriching its outcomes, as well as the cooperation of supporting entities and institutions, which played a key role in its success.
The third edition of the "Itqan" programme reflects the institute's continued approach to investing in youth potential and preparing a capable and aware generation able to contribute effectively to national development, supporting the sustainability of national talent and the Kingdom's future aspirations.
