Manama: Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), known as 'The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East,' will host a special Ramadhan edition of the Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights on Monday, March 17. The event will provide motorsport enthusiasts with the opportunity to engage in both drag racing and drifting on the same evening. Participants have the option to bring their own cars or motorbikes to test their limits on BIC's quarter-mile drag strip or drift park, or they can choose to take part in both activities for a unique experience.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event is scheduled to run from 8 PM to 1 AM, offering a distinctive Ramadhan motorsport experience. BIC's drag strip is recognized as one of the world's best and is part of the NHRA Worldwide Network, which is affiliated with the U.S.-based National Hot Rod Association (NHRA).
BIC's vehicle dynamics area provides a safe, specially designed drifting layout, featuring one of the largest open tarmac zones in Bahrain. Participation fees for the event are structured as follows: BD11 for both drag racing and drifting, BD8 for either drag racing or drifting only, and BD4.500 for a passenger ride-along in a participant's car. Registration is also available on-site for those interested in participating.
Additionally, thrill-seekers can experience The Dragster Experience, BIC's high-speed passenger ride known as 'The Fastest Ride on Earth.' This activity takes one or two passengers in a Top Dragster, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just one second. The Dragster Experience costs BD44 for the first passenger, with a 50% discount for the second passenger.
