Manama: The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) has received the Excellence in Future Talent Development Award from the Project Management Institute (PMI), in recognition of its commitment to preparing the next generation of project professionals and achieving the highest learner enrolment across PMI's academic Authorised Training Partner programmes.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the recognition was presented during the Partner Recognition session at the PMI MENA ATP Leadership Roundtable, with PMI training partners from across the Middle East and North Africa taking part. The award was received on behalf of BIBF by Bayan Ahmed, Senior Officer at the Digital Transformation and Project Management Centre, and Yousif Faraj, Senior Lecturer at the Centre.
The award highlights the value of combining academic learning with internationally recognised professional qualifications, while providing continuous development opportunities for learners and professionals at different stages of their careers.
Dr. Ahmed Abdulhameed Al Shaikh, CEO of BIBF, said that the recognition reflects BIBF's efforts to develop training pathways that respond to changing labour market needs and equip professionals at different stages of their careers with the skills and internationally recognised qualifications needed to progress.
He added that BIBF is continuing to develop its programmes in line with digital transformation and the changing nature of project management, including future courses on the use of artificial intelligence in project management to help professionals prepare for future skills and demands.
Dr. Al Shaikh also noted that BIBF's partnership with PMI forms part of the Institute's continued efforts to align education and training with international professional standards and provide development opportunities that keep pace with changes in the labour market and advances in technology.
BIBF offers a range of professional qualifications in project management, including the Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA). The Institute introduced the PMI Certified Professional in Managing AI (PMI-CPMAI) qualification this year, reflecting the growing role of artificial intelligence in project management.
Through these programmes, BIBF is widening access to professional qualifications for learners and professionals across different career stages, from graduates entering the workforce to experienced professionals across a range of sectors, helping them strengthen their project management skills and keep pace with emerging technologies.
BIBF continues to develop its professional programmes and qualifications in collaboration with international bodies, supporting skills development and keeping education and training closely aligned with labour market needs in Bahrain and the wider region.
