BIA Celebrates Kuwait’s 64th National Day with Special Tribute

Manama: Bahrain International Airport (BIA), managed and operated by Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), marked Kuwait's 64th National Day with a celebration emphasizing the enduring ties and shared history between Bahrain and Kuwait.

According to Bahrain News Agency, BIA extended a warm welcome to Kuwaiti passengers flying with Gulf Air, Kuwait Airways, and Jazeera Airways. This celebration underscores the significant connection facilitated by the Bahrain-Kuwait route, which remains a crucial link for both nations. In 2024, approximately 430,000 passengers traveled between Bahrain and Kuwait via BIA, with the route served by an average of 42 flights per week. The flights are operated by Gulf Air, Kuwait Airways, and Jazeera Airways.

Gulf Air, Bahrain's national carrier, has been flying to Kuwait since 1959 and currently offers four daily flights, totaling 28 weekly services. In 2024, Gulf Air transported 252,493 passengers on this route, highlighting its vital role in linking the two countries. Kuwait Airways began its Bahrain operations in 1965, while Jazeera Airways started its services in 2005, broadening travel options for passengers.

This commemoration reflects Bahrain International Airport's dedication to bolstering regional partnerships and honoring the lasting relationship between Bahrain and Kuwait.
