BFA and La Liga Forge Partnership to Elevate Football in Bahrain.

Manama: Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Football Association (BFA), welcomed Javier Tebas, President of La Liga, alongside Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa, BFA Vice Chairman, Ayman Al Fardan, Head of the Media Committee, and Rashid Al Zuaibi, BFA Secretary-General, in a significant meeting aimed at bolstering football development in Bahrain. According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing Bahrain's football landscape through collaboration with La Liga. Discussions included the establishment of a professional league in Bahrain, utilizing Spanish expertise to train local coaches, and organizing matches featuring Spanish teams to promote Bahrain as a sports tourism destination. The potential for organizing training camps and exchange programs for Bahraini players and coaches at Spanish clubs was also explored, with the goal of improving skills and fostering international exposure. An agreement was signed to formalize the cooperation between the BFA and La Liga, marking the beginning of joint efforts to implement these initiatives. The BFA also looked into partnerships with Córdoba CF, represented by CEO Antonio Fernández, to exchange expertise across various football operations, further strengthening the ties between Bahrain and Spain in the sport.
