Manama: The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) General Command has reported the successful interception and destruction of 102 ballistic missiles and 171 unmanned aerial vehicles amidst ongoing Iranian attacks. The BDF's air defence systems have been actively engaged in neutralizing these threats since the onset of hostilities, ensuring the protection of Bahrain's airspace.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the BDF General Command praised the combat readiness and operational proficiency of its personnel during this period. It assured citizens that the airspace of Bahrain remains secure despite the continued aggression.
The public has been advised to remain indoors and to only venture out when absolutely necessary while taking appropriate precautions. Citizens are also advised to avoid affected areas, steer clear of any suspicious objects, refrain from filming military operations or debris sites, and to rely on official sources for accurate updates and advisories.
The General Command highlighted that the targeting of civilian sites and private property using ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles is a violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter. These attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security, underscoring the severity of the situation.
