Manama: The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) announced that the BDF’s air defence systems have successfully intercepted and destroyed 186 ballistic missiles and 419 drones since the start of Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain. This achievement is attributed to the vigilance and operational effectiveness of BDF personnel.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the General Command expressed its pride in the combat readiness and vigilance of its personnel, commending their role in maintaining the safety of Bahrain’s airspace. The BDF’s performance has been highlighted as a key factor in ensuring the security of the Kingdom’s skies.
The General Command has advised the public to exercise caution, keep away from affected areas, and avoid suspicious objects. It also cautioned against filming or photographing military operations or debris sites and stressed the importance of relying on official government media channels for information.
The General Command reiterated that the use of ballistic missiles and drones against civilian areas violates international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter. Such attacks pose a significant threat to regional peace and security.
