Bahrain’s Under-19 Team Secures Bronze at Arab Cycling Championship

Sulaymaniyah: Bahrain's under-19 cycling team has clinched the bronze medal in the team road race at the Arab Road Cycling Championship. The event was held in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate from October 3 to 13, featuring participants across men's, youth, juniors, women's, and girls' categories.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahraini riders achieved this feat after a competitive race involving top Arab cyclists. The national team, comprising standout riders Mohammed Hassan Jawad, Humood Awad Al Farhan, and Abdulaziz Saleh Al Hamri, showcased technical skills that promise further success in upcoming races.

The Bahraini delegation was led by Sayed Shubber Hilal Al Wedaei, Secretary General of the Bahrain Cycling Association. The team management included Aqeel Abdulameer Mohammed, manager of the men's team, and Fares Hussain, manager of the youth team. Cycling technician Issa Ayoob, along with riders Ahmed Nasser, Ahmed Abdulghani, Mahdi Hassan, and Sayed Ahmed Khalil for the men's team, as well as Mohammed Hassan Jawad, Amer Saleh Al Khassham, Humood Awad Al Farhan, and Abdulaziz Saleh Al Hamri for the youth team, and Hassan Aqeel Thamer for the juniors, were part of the delegation.

Al Wedaei regarded the achievement as significant for Bahraini cycling, indicating its growing competitiveness and inspiring further regional and international success. He emphasized that the team's strong participation reflects the success of the "Khalid bin Hamad Gold Generation League" initiative, launched by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The Bahraini team remains determined to secure more podium finishes as the championship continues.
