Brussels: Dr. Mohammed Ali Bahzad, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Belgium and Head of the Kingdom’s Mission to the European Union, met with H©l¨ne Le Gal, Director-General Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa at the European External Action Service. During the meeting, Ambassador Bahzad expressed appreciation for the European Union’s solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in response to the recent blatant Iranian attacks. He also commended the strong and growing partnership between Bahrain and the European Union across several key sectors, as well as the continued exchange of high-level visits between the two sides.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ambassador Bahzad emphasised the importance of further strengthening cooperation and coordination between Bahrain and the European Union, expanding joint engagement in areas of mutual interest, and advancing bilateral relations to broader levels that serve shared priorities and common interests. For her part, Le Gal reaffirmed the European Union’s commitment to deepening its partnership with the Kingdom of Bahrain and highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation across various fields, particularly in light of current regional developments.
The meeting also addressed the latest regional developments, particularly the blatant Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain and GCC countries. Both sides reiterated their rejection and condemnation of such actions and discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
