Bahrain’s Delegation Engages in Arab Group’s Meeting at OIC Parliaments Union in Jakarta

Jakarta: Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, a member of Bahrain's Shura Council and Deputy Head of Bahrain's parliamentary delegation, took part in the Arab Group's consultative meeting during the 19th session of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States in Jakarta from May 12-15.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed stressed Bahrain's dedication to collaborative Arab efforts and support for unified Arab positions. This aligns with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed underscored the significance of parliamentary cooperation, particularly concerning the Palestinian cause and sustainable development. He pointed out Bahrain's active role on the international stage in fostering dialogue, stability, and Arab integration.

The meeting also covered elections for upcoming conference presidencies and discussions on Arab nominations to the Union's executive and specialised committees.
