Bahrain’s Ambassador to Russia Named Dean of Arab Diplomatic Corps in Moscow

Moscow: The Council of Arab Ambassadors accredited to the Russian Federation has selected Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Russia, as Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps in Moscow.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the decision was made during a meeting held at the League's mission headquarters in Moscow. The selection recognizes Bahrain's standing under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The council highlighted Bahrain's role in promoting peace and security to support sustainable development in the region and globally.

Dr. Walid Hamid Shiltag, Head of the Arab League Mission in Moscow, praised Bahrain's diplomatic efforts, particularly during its presidency of the 33rd Arab Summit hosted in Manama last year, which led to outcomes for joint Arab action.

Ambassador Al Saati expressed appreciation to his fellow Arab ambassadors in Moscow for their confidence, stressing that the selection reflects Bahrain's balanced foreign policy. He emphasized that it is a testament to Bahrain's diplomatic approach, rooted in its historical and cultural heritage and based on principles of the UN Charter, international law, and multilateral cooperation built on sovereignty, dialogue, and solidarity in support of global peace and stability.
