Bahrain’s Ambassador Leads Delegation at Egypt-Gulf Trade and Investment Forum

Cairo: Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, led Bahrain's delegation to the Egypt-Gulf Trade and Investment Forum, held in Cairo on November 10 and 11. The forum aimed to enhance economic cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and Egypt.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahraini delegation included Iman Ahmed Al Doseri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and Dr. Khalid Fahad Al Alawi, Assistant Undersecretary for Industrial Development at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Ambassador Zainal emphasized that Bahrain's participation underscores its commitment to fostering trade and investment integration by facilitating the exchange of expertise and ideas between government and private-sector representatives. This collaboration serves shared interests and supports sustainable development in the region.

Ambassador Zainal highlighted that Egypt is a key strategic partner for GCC countries. She noted that the forum serves as a crucial platform for exchanging experiences and exploring joint investment opportunities, occurring amid increasing Arab economic activity aimed at diversifying income sources and enhancing mutual investments. This contributes to an integrated Arab economic system ready to address global challenges and seize new opportunities.

Al Doseri participated in the ministerial session alongside several ministers and officials from GCC countries and Egypt. She discussed Bahrain's attractive investment environment and commitment to further developing the business climate and improving the investor experience in the industrial and commercial sectors. She also outlined promising investment opportunities recently announced by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, highlighting the active participation of Bahrain and Egypt under the Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development.
