Manama: Bahraini women are active partners in the Kingdom's Comprehensive Development Process, stated Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture. He emphasized the significant presence that Bahraini women have established across various sectors under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Minister highlighted the instrumental support provided by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa. As the Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, her efforts have been pivotal in advancing women's roles in leadership and development, setting them as a regional model of progress.
The Minister's remarks were made during the celebration of Bahraini Women's Day 2025, which is themed "Bahraini Women: Distinction, Creativity, Innovation." He noted that the theme aptly reflects women's achievements in knowledge, production, innovation, and leadership, showcasing their crucial contributions to national development.
Al Mubarak also reflected on the historic involvement of Bahraini women in municipal council elections. He pointed out their increasing presence in public and private sectors, as well as their growing engagement in scientific, engineering, agricultural, environmental, and technological fields. This, he noted, underscores the Kingdom's commitment to investing in the skills and talents of Bahraini women.
