Bahraini MPs Strengthen Parliamentary Ties with European Delegation in UAE

Manama: Bahraini officials, including Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom and Sabeeka Khalifa Al Fadhel, engaged in discussions with Reinhold Lopatka, head of the delegation for Relations with the Arab Peninsula at the European Parliament, during the GCC-European Parliamentary Committee meeting in the United Arab Emirates.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the European delegation praised the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for enhancing partnerships with international parliaments. The meeting focused on legislative cooperation and the exchange of expertise. Al Salloom and Al Fadhel emphasized the importance of strengthening relations with the European Parliament to boost parliamentary dialogue on shared issues.

They stressed the importance of mutual respect for national sovereignty and effective communication to improve legislative, economic, and developmental cooperation. The Bahraini MPs highlighted the role of parliaments in promoting international understanding and stability through dialogue and partnerships.

Al Salloom and Al Fadhel reiterated Bahrain's dedication to parliamentary cooperation, aligning with the King's vision of establishing robust international partnerships that support both national interests and global stability.

Lopatka lauded the cooperation levels between Bahrain and the European Parliament. He expressed eagerness to enhance collaboration through knowledge exchange and joint efforts on regional and international matters, which would contribute to sustainable development and stability.
