Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today reported on a busy day of diplomatic activities and significant local events. His Majesty King of Bahrain received calls from several international leaders, including the Presidents of Maldives, Mauritania, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan, as well as the Ethiopian Prime Minister. Additionally, a written message was delivered to HM King from the President of Kyrgyzstan.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahraini Defense Force (BDF) General Command announced the destruction of 74 Iranian missiles and 117 hostile drones. In response to these events, the BDF imposed a ban on photography, publication, and redistribution of information related to defensive operations, the positions of units, or the movement of military vehicles and systems.
The Interior Ministry reported the arrest of four individuals for filming and publishing videos concerning the Iranian attack. In a related matter, the Public Prosecution has ordered the pretrial detention of a suspect accused of distributing AI-generated fabricated content.
In domestic initiatives, volunteer registration for the "Bahrain is Well Because You Are Its People" campaign opened, attracting more than 20,000 volunteers within hours. The campaign reflects the solidarity shown by Bahraini families and institutions during the ongoing Iranian attacks.
Furthermore, the Industry Minister conducted visits to the Manama Central Market and Bahrain Flour Mills Company to ensure the stability of supply chains. Meanwhile, the Works Minister inspected main roads to assess rain emergency response efforts, and the Municipalities Minister surveyed areas in the Northern and Southern Governorates following recent rainfall. The Social Development Minister also visited the Social Welfare Complex in Hamad Town to oversee ongoing welfare activities.
