Bahraini Delegation Participates in Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit in Riyadh

Riyadh: Bahrain's delegation, headed by Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board, participated in Fortune's Most Powerful Women International Summit held in Saudi Arabia.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the summit, under the theme "New Era for Business: Partnering for Global Prosperity," marked Fortune's first international summit in the Middle East. Over two days, female business leaders from the region and beyond discussed key trends in the global business landscape, focusing on public-private sector partnerships to advance innovation and growth.

The delegation featured Rana Ebrahim Faqihi, CEO of the National Bureau of Revenue; Sara Ahmed Buhejji, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority; and Hala Ali Yateem, Chairperson of the National Bank of Bahrain's Board of Directors. Minister Alkhulaif engaged in a fireside chat titled "MPW Spotlight: Bahrain's Path to Economic Transformation," where she highlighted Bahrain's achievements in economic growth and diversification, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and investment attraction. The session also explored how Bahrain is cultivating an environment conducive to business success and developing a workforce ready for the future.

Hala Ali Yateem also contributed to a panel discussion titled "Driving Growth and Innovation in a Changing World," sharing her insights on navigating the evolving financial services landscape and the necessity of adapting to a rapidly shifting global economy.

The participation of the all-female Bahraini delegation in this exclusive conference underscores Bahrain's commitment to empowering women as key agents of economic progress and innovative change. Bahrain is recognized as a global leader in closing the gender skills gap, ranking among the top five globally for girls outperforming boys in learning outcomes, as reported by the World Economic Forum and the World Bank.
