Bahrain Welcomes Second Phase of Gaza Peace Plan

Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the announcement of the commencement of the second phase of the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict proposed by His Excellency Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, as well as the formation of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza as a temporary transitional body.

According to Bahrain News Agency, in a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Kingdom of Bahrain commended the US President's establishment of the Board of Peace and the efforts undertaken to end the war in Gaza and achieve lasting peace in the region.

The ministry reiterated the Kingdom's position calling for the stabilisation of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the facilitation of humanitarian aid delivery to civilians, and the initiation of reconstruction and recovery efforts. It also stressed the importance of working towards a just, comprehensive, and sustainable peace in accordance with United Nations resolutions, the Arab Peace Initiative, and the two-state solution, in a manner that preserves regional security and stability and safeguards international peace and security.
