Manama: Bahrain Trust inaugurated the 'Portrait of Bahraini Women' art exhibition to celebrate Bahraini Women's Day. The event was held under the patronage of Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Injaz Bahrain Chairperson, and Member of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW). According to Bahrain News Agency, the exhibition features works from over 33 Bahraini artists, highlighting the role of women in Bahrain's history and culture through diverse artistic expressions. It also provides a platform for emerging and established talent, reinforcing Bahrain's vibrant creative landscape. HH Shaikha Hessa praised the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and SCW President, for her role in empowering Bahraini women and fostering their contributions to the arts and other fields. Dr. Fatima Al Balooshi, Chairwoman of Bahrain Trust, stated that the exhibition reflects Bahrain's commitment to recognising women as key contributors to the n ation's development. She highlighted the event's role in fostering intergenerational dialogue among artists and showcasing the diverse creativity of Bahraini women. The exhibition aims to inspire further initiatives that promote women's involvement in the arts, enhance their creative opportunities, and underscore their significant role in enriching Bahrain's cultural and artistic identity on local and international levels.
