Bahrain Supports US-Brokered Ceasefire Between India and Pakistan

Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the ceasefire agreement between the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, announced by the United States of America, lauding the diplomatic efforts of Saudi Arabia in this regard. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom of Bahrain emphasised its full support for all efforts and initiatives aimed at establishing lasting peace between the two neighbouring countries. The Kingdom reiterated its commitment to contributing to dialogue and mutual understanding as essential tools for resolving differences and maintaining stability, peace, and prosperity in the region and across the wider international community.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Bahrain also highlighted the significance of regional cooperation and international mediation in resolving longstanding conflicts. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed hope that this ceasefire would pave the way for more constructive dialogues between India and Pakistan, ultimately leading to a durable peace.

The Bahrain News Agency noted that the ceasefire agreement is seen as a positive step towards reducing tensions in South Asia. The Kingdom of Bahrain reaffirmed its readiness to support any endeavors that promote peace and security not only in the region but also globally.

The agency further reported that Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on both India and Pakistan to remain committed to the ceasefire and work towards building trust. The statement underscored the importance of diplomatic channels and peaceful negotiations in settling disputes.
