Bahrain strongly condemns Houthis’ continued seizure of US Embassy’s employees

The Kingdom of Bahrain has strongly condemned the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia’s continued seizure of staff members of the US Embassy in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, after it stormed the embassy building in October 2021 and detained a number of local employees working in it and looted and sabotaged the Embassy’s property.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that what these terrorist militias have done is a clear violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and to international norms and charters, and an attack on the security and safety of the embassy staff.

It called on the international community to condemn this terrorist act and called upon the Houthi terrorist group to immediately release all the detainees.
