Bahrain Space Agency and AUBH Forge Partnership to Advance Space Science Education

Manama: The Bahrain Space Agency has signed a memorandum of understanding with the American University of Bahrain (AUBH) aimed at bolstering cooperation in higher education, scientific research, innovation, and the exchange of expertise in space science.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement was formalized by Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, CEO of the Bahrain Space Agency, and Dr. Bradley J. Cook, President of AUBH. This strategic partnership represents a pivotal move towards enhancing collaboration between educational institutions and the Bahrain Space Agency, aligning with the objectives of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. This vision seeks to establish a knowledge-based and innovation-driven economy, with a focus on engaging youth in emerging scientific fields like space science and empowering them to assume leadership roles.

As part of the MoU, both parties have committed to executing a series of joint initiatives. These initiatives include the exchange of knowledge and expertise, the development of student programs in space science, and the organization of specialized workshops.

The agreement also encompasses collaborative scientific research and technical studies, educational and awareness initiatives, and student field visits, all of which aim to deepen students' practical understanding of the space sector.
