Bahrain signs agreement with Cisco on infrastructure of government data network

The Kingdom of Bahrain has signed an agreement with the US multinational technology company Cisco on the infrastructure of Bahrain’s government data network.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the United States.

The Chief Executive of the Bahrain Information & eGovernment Authority, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, stated that the agreement with Cisco, a world-leading technology company, reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to remaining up to date with the latest technological trends and developments.

Al Qaed also emphasised Cisco’s credentials in the field of telecommunications and other high technology services, and noted that the signing of the agreement is part of the Kingdom’s comprehensive development agenda.
