Bahrain Secures Additional Medals at Sixth Islamic Solidarity Games

Riyadh: The Kingdom of Bahrain continued its medal haul at the Sixth Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh by adding two more medals in judo, bringing the total to three one silver and two bronze. Israpil Sagaipov won silver in the under-90kg category, while Askerbii Gerbekov claimed bronze in the under-81kg.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Ruslan Poltoratsky secured Bahrain's first medal with a bronze in the under-60kg category. In table tennis, the men's team reached the quarter-finals but lost to Algeria. The women's team exited in the group stage but gained valuable international experience.

The Bahrain volleyball team will face Trkiye in an important match, aiming to progress further. Bahrain also made its debut in weightlifting with Adrian Granja (men's under-79kg) and Ingrid Grueso (women's under-69kg) competing at Arena Boulevard.
