Manama: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain has firmly expressed its categorical rejection of recent statements made by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. These statements are viewed as blatant and unacceptable interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs, violating the principles of sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs of other states.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Kingdom of Bahrain has dismissed the Iranian allegations as lacking credibility. Bahrain asserts that attempts to portray its sovereign and legal measures as human rights violations are an unacceptable politicization and a deliberate misrepresentation of facts.
The Ministry notes that this behavior is a continuation of conduct by Iran over many decades. Such interference undermines the security and stability of other states, violating international law and the principles of good neighborly relations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates the necessity for Iran to adhere to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations. It calls on Iran to cease its escalatory policies and irresponsible statements, respect the sovereignty of states, and refrain from interference in their internal affairs.
