Manama: A delegation from Bahrain's Parliamentary Division, led by MP Mohamed Jassem Al Alaiwi, is participating in the Second Arab Forum for Scout and Guide Pioneers and the 17th General Assembly of the Arab Parliamentary Scout Union, held in Oman from August 8-14.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Alaiwi noted that this participation underscores Bahrain's commitment to strengthening parliamentary diplomacy, supporting Arab youth, and advancing scouting as a platform for character-building and national development. This aligns with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Al Alaiwi emphasized Bahrain's efforts to integrate scouting values into sustainable development programmes. He called for the use of digital tools to broaden scouting's reach, including forming partnerships with technology and education institutions to blend traditional skills with modern competencies. The forum will also involve reviewing reports, signing cooperation agreements, and coordinating upcoming regional scouting events.
