Manama: The Parliamentary Division of the Kingdom of Bahrain took part in the Standing Committee on Budget and Planning meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA). This meeting was a segment of the 16th Plenary Session of the APA General Assembly, hosted by Bahrain from January 24 to 28.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting deliberated on the report presented by the Secretary General of the APA and evaluated the draft resolutions proposed by the Executive Council. A significant focus of the discussions was a draft resolution related to the budget planning of the APA.
The session underscored the need to bolster the Assembly’s efficiency and organizational capacity. It emphasized aligning plans and budgets with the Assembly’s priorities and ensuring the sustainability of its programmes and activities. The discussions also highlighted the importance of enhancing transparency and responsible management of resources.
