Bahrain Motor Federation Delegation Visits Sepang International Circuit for Formula 1 Preparations

Manama: A third delegation from the Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF) visited Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia as part of ongoing preparations for the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, scheduled to take place at the circuit from October 2 to 4. According to Bahrain News Agency, the visit coincided with the circuit hosting the fourth round of the Malaysia Touring Car Championship. It forms part of the BMF's preparations, in coordination and cooperation with Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), for the upcoming Formula 1 race. The visit is part of an ongoing programme of field visits by the BMF delegation to review the procedures, preparations, and organisational operations at Sepang International Circuit and benefit from its experience and capabilities in hosting motorsport events and championships. The delegation was briefed on event management and organisation, coordination between various teams, and the operational, technical, and logistical aspects of staging races. The visit provided an oppor tunity to exchange expertise and experiences with officials and staff at Sepang International Circuit and review best practices in race management and organisation, enhancing the team's readiness and enabling it to benefit from international experience in preparing for the upcoming event. The efforts are in line with the directives of Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa, President of the BMF and FIA Vice-President for Sport (Middle East and North Africa). They reflect his commitment to enhancing cooperation with motorsport organisations and providing the necessary conditions for the success of the upcoming Formula 1 race. The BMF, in coordination and cooperation with BIC, continues to implement its preparatory plans and programmes for the race, drawing on the organisational expertise of Bahraini professionals and reinforcing Bahrain's presence in international motorsport. The Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at Sepang International Circuit is expected to represent an important stage in cooperation and th e exchange of expertise in motorsport. It also demonstrates the ability of Bahraini professionals to contribute to the organisation and management of major international motor races, both in Bahrain and abroad.
