Bahrain Marks Historic Women’s Participation in 3rd Asian Youth Games

Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain will mark a historic milestone in women's sports with its largest-ever female delegation competing in the 3rd Asian Youth Games, hosted by Bahrain from October 22 to 31, 2025.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation includes 54 female athletes representing more than 15 sports, including athletics, swimming, badminton, table tennis, taekwondo, equestrian, triathlon, and volleyball. This participation underscores the steady progress of women's sports in the Kingdom.

The participation reflects the Bahrain Olympic Committee's commitment to empowering women and promoting gender balance in sports. This is in line with the leadership's vision to enable female athletes to excel regionally and internationally.

This milestone builds on the growing success of Bahraini women in global competitions and their continued presence on podiums. This success is supported by the Bahrain Olympic Committee and national federations.

The event also provides Bahraini athletes with an opportunity to gain valuable experience and consolidate Bahrain's standing in women's sports across the region.
