Bahrain-Israel Joint Coordination Committee holds second meeting

The Joint Coordination Committee between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel held its second meeting today, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Manama.

The meeting was chaired by the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, for the Bahraini side, while the Director General of Foreign Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Ambassador Alon Ushpiz, chaired the Israeli side.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the State of Israel, Khaled Yousef Al-Jalahma, the Chief of Strategic Affairs, Ambassador Nancy Abdullah Jamal, the Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Kingdom, Eitan Nai, and the accompanying delegation.

During the coordinating meeting, the relations of cooperation between the two countries were reviewed, and ways to enhance them in various political, economic, social and environmental fields, under the Declaration of Support for Peace, the Warm Peace Strategy.

They stressed the need to activate bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding, in a manner that aims to achieve common interests, advance the just and comprehensive peace process in the Middle East, and meet the aspirations of its peoples for security, stability, and progress.

Ambassador Alon Ushpiz expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain for its interest in promoting peace and coexistence among the peoples of the region of different cultures, religions and civilizations, wishing the Kingdom and its people continued security, progress and prosperity.
