Cairo: The Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organisation honoured the Kingdom of Bahrain for ranking in the top tier globally in the 2024 Global Cybersecurity Index during the CAISEC'25 event in Cairo. The recognition was part of the opening ceremony of the 4th International Conference on Information Security and Cybersecurity, which took place on May 25-26. The event was held under the patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa, Deputy President for Cyber Operations at the National Cyber Security Centre, accepted the Arab Excellence Shield on behalf of Bahrain. He emphasized the Kingdom's advancements in cybersecurity, which are a result of a comprehensive national strategy, leadership support, and investment in skilled national talent. These efforts have positioned Bahrain as a strategic partner with significant regional and global influence in the cybersecurity domain.
The 4th International Conference on Information Security and Cybersecurity gathered more than 180 speakers and over 5,000 participants. The conference aimed to enhance the technological resilience of nations and institutions, foster public-private collaboration, and contribute to building a more secure and sustainable digital future in the Arab world.
