Bahrain Highlights Recent Local Developments with Focus on Defence and Diplomacy

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted several significant local events, with particular attention to defence and diplomatic activities within the country.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) General Command announced the destruction of 182 missiles and 400 drones since the commencement of Iranian attacks. In the past 24 hours alone, the National Communication Centre reported that the Bahrain Defence Force Air Defences successfully intercepted and destroyed two drones.

In diplomatic developments, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa held a phone conversation with the President of Latvia to discuss matters of mutual interest. Additionally, a telephone call took place between His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the National Security Advisor of Cyprus, further cementing Bahrain's international relations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Director General of Bilateral Relations engaged in discussions with the EU Special Representative for the Gulf region, showcasing Bahrain's ongoing commitment to strengthening ties with the European Union. Furthermore, Bahrain's United Nations Mission has submitted its eighth letter concerning Iranian attacks to the Secretary-General and the Security Council President, underscoring the nation's efforts to address regional security concerns on an international platform.

On the domestic front, the Ministry of Education has updated its operational procedures to enhance flexibility in service delivery, reflecting a focus on improving local administrative efficiency.
