Bahrain Highlights Engagement in Global and Local Events

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on local events that happened over the past 24 hours.

According to Bahrain News Agency, significant local and international engagements marked the day for Bahrain. Notably, HH Shaikh Nasser and HH Shaikh Khalid attended the prestigious Dubai World Cup horse race, where HH Shaikh Khalid emphasized Bahrain's commitment to sports as a means to foster peace and development.

In domestic news, the Information Minister extended congratulations to the Bahrain Journalists Association on its silver jubilee. Further strengthening media ties, the Information Minister also met with the Editor-in-Chief of Al Ayam.

On the diplomatic front, the Industry Minister engaged with the Serbian Ambassador, indicating ongoing international relations and cooperation.

Bahrain also commemorated World Health Day 2025, reflecting its dedication to global health initiatives. Meanwhile, the Labour Ministry Undersecretary inaugurated the Career Day event at the Applied Science University, showcasing efforts to enhance employment opportunities.

In a series of diplomatic meetings, the Speaker of Bahrain's parliament addressed the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly and held discussions with counterparts from Oman, Morocco, and Kazakhstan, underscoring Bahrain's strong bilateral ties and cooperation with these nations.

Bahrain's active participation continued with its delegation attending the ASPG meeting, the opening of the 150th IPU Assembly, the GCC and GRULAC meeting, and the 215th IPU Governing Council meeting. Through these engagements, Bahrain reaffirms its commitment to international collaboration and dialogue.
