Bahrain Hajj Mission Begins Distribution of Nusuk Cards to Pilgrims

Manama: The Bahrain Hajj Mission, in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has initiated the distribution of Nusuk cards to pilgrims through licensed tour operators. This initiative aims to issue the cards within Bahrain before the pilgrims' departure to the holy sites, ensuring readiness and streamlining procedures upon arrival.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Mohammed Taher Al Qattan, Deputy Head of the Bahrain Hajj Mission, emphasized that the Nusuk card serves as the main identification for pilgrims during the Hajj season. It is a mandatory requirement for entry to the holy sites and the Grand Mosque. The card facilitates access to authorized services, and pilgrims are urged to carry it at all times, safeguard it, and utilize its digital version when necessary.

The distribution process has commenced and will continue until Thursday, May 7, covering all 23 licensed tour operators and serving 4,625 Bahraini pilgrims. The pre-departure distribution of Nusuk cards is being implemented for the second year in a row, highlighting the measure's effectiveness in enhancing pilgrims' readiness and minimizing the need to complete procedures upon arrival at the holy sites.

Dr. Al Qattan further mentioned that the first group of mission committees is scheduled to depart Bahrain next Thursday for the holy sites. Subsequent teams will follow to finalize preparations, receive pilgrims, and provide necessary services. He confirmed that all mission committees are fully equipped to perform their duties and support Bahraini pilgrims throughout the Hajj season.
